Todd Oil is a division of Rose’s Oil service which was founded by Frank Rose III in 1964. The company started as a gas station and truck stop. Gradually, the business evolved to include sales of fuel oil to the domestic fishing fleet and international steamships. Along with supplying fuel oil, Frank started a machine shop and ships store that catered to the local waterfront industry.

In 1974 Rose’s Oil acquired Todd Oil a small local oil dealer. At the time Todd Oil had a customer base of approximately 450 customers. Rose’s Oil took control of the company and through years of dedicated effort has brought Todd Oil to where it is today. The company now has a customer’s base of over 1600 accounts, plus government and municipal contracts that span the whole North Shore and surrounding areas.
